MEK is a solvent that is often the choice of professional model builders as it can be applied with a fine brush to simply “wick itself” into the finest joints. It makes a superb job of joining plasticard and the plastics used for most kits with no excess or stringing at all, as it simply flows into the joints and melts the two surfaces together. Also often used in track assembly as it can effectively fuse together plastic and wooden sleepers for example. It is also much safer for us humans than other solvents. (Its often used as a cleaner in science laboratories because of that.)

MEK is highly flammable so use with care please.
