Alpha Mimic Ground Signals

4x 2-wire US-type Ground Signal – A pack of 4 x 2-lamp plug and play signals in HO scale, supplied with NO control board.

The DCD-MG-US.4 is a simple design 2-lamp ground signal – the prototype for this signal dates from pre-WW2 but has not changed significantly since then. It is commonly used in the USA and other places outside Europe and the UK, especially in Australia and New Zealand. It is, because of this, correctly made in HO scale.

In addition to its world-wide prototype use, it is also a great choice of “indicator signal” for those with large storage or fiddle yards, with a clear “Red-Green” indication of track access if used this way. (They can easily be mounted high so they can bee seen over locomotives in staging tracks)

We now include a set of simple, easy to use mounting adapters with every pack of ground signals: This makes installation extremely easy – Just decide where you will install the signal, drill a 14mm (9/16″) hole in the baseboard, install the adapter and then insert the signal.

The signal base matches our new adapter perfectly, so the installation is now complete. All you need do now is connect the signal then paint, weather & Ballast the area as desired.
Use these signals as an add-on for Alpha Mimic control signal systems OR use independently if you wish. Note: If used with power sources other than an Alpha Mimic control board, resistors MUST be added – a selection of resistor values are INCLUDED with this 4-pack. Note: Failures because of incorrect connection are not covered by warranty.
