Kapton tape is used in many critical electronic products for a very good reason – It is simply the best at what it does.

Our 8mm Kapton Tape is extremely thin but it is also very strong and hard, and that makes it by far the BEST tape for all installations where you need good insulation OR need things held in place without bulk.

This excellent hardness plus the extra width of our 12mm tape also makes it the best possible choice for an insulating layer between electronics and the locomotive chassis. It is much, much better than traditional insulating tape!

TIP: Clean areas where tape will be applied to remove oily residues. IPA can work well, as will anything that gets rid of Gunk!

Caution: Sharp items can still penetrate if the body clamps down hard on whatever is installed. Use TWO layers if the item you are installing has any lower surface roughness!
